Evergreen Forest 3D Metallic Card with Embossed Window Sheet Tutorial

Merry Christmas.  In July!

Today’s tutorial is one we ALL love.  It’s a WOW card – both for those who you will send it to.  And for YOU! When you are done – you will be all kinds of “WOW, that was easy!”

Let’s get to it…

First – because the card is super simple – it doesn’t take long for me to show you.  I was able to remind you of some upcoming online classes that I have.

This card gives you a ‘kind’ of feel for my Try It class for the Holiday Catalog.  Registration for that closes on August 2nd.  The Try It Classes are my favorite.  You get to ‘try’ ALL of the new papers, ribbons and embellishments as we make 10 projects together!  There is a video you can watch that fully explains it – you won’t be disappointed in it!  See all of the things to know exactly what you want – and instead of stacks of it sitting around…at the end you will have 10 cards and 10 reusable templates!

I have that and a Boho Indigo (free class!) open right now…and 2 Holiday Catalog classes that will be opening next week.

This card combines several new elements from the card.  First the metallic cardstock.

It’s everything the new Brass is not!  The brushed metallic pack is much more ‘non-brassy’ and comes in all 3 colors in the one package.

I could not resist the urge to stick them all on one card…..more is more is more!

The ribbon is from the Basket Weave combo pack (and in an Autumn suite).  Copper is my all time favorite metal and this ribbon matches so nicely.

In order to cover up NONE of the stunning trees from the Evergreen Forest Embossing folder, I chose to emboss the sentiment from the “For Unto Us” stamp set onto a window sheet.

The gems are new, too, Blue Adhesive backed gems.  I guess Mermaid Jewels wasn’t an appropriate name for the Christmas catalog, lol, but that is what they look like!
