Create Your Own Templates For Cards: Stampin’ Up! Radiant Sunflowers

September is sunflower season, yes? In Indiana there are glorious fields of them all around this time of year. So fun to go and pick a huge bouquet of one of the happiest flowers!

Today’s tutorial is a sunflower card….but it has some added tips and tricks in with it.

First….if opening that brand new Wink of Stella gives you anxiety, let me show you how to open them without losing any of that sparkling fluid. Second, this card features a template. It’s one that I created AFTER making the card. What??? So simple to do and then to have on hand to pull out for future card designs! The card was inspired by gobs of stacks of sunflower strip paper. After cutting for my Try It Class (which is out in the mail TODAY!) my husband (my professional paper cutter, lol) wanted to toss them all in the trash. Um, no…how can we throw all that sunflower goodness in the bin?

So, I started with the 3/4″ strips and Old Olive scraps (from the mouse Try It Card) and created projects for my in person camp. I could create literal hundreds of this card but at least we salvaged quite a few of the strips!

Once the card was designed I went over to Canva and created the template. This card sketch is perfect for those of you in Card Club since we often end up with so many long slim strips of paper.

This card is an homage to all the warm September feels!
