Free Online June Courses: Come Sail Away – With Sea of Textures and Magical Mermaid for a Summertime Nautical Card

A reminder that it’s time to sign up for June’s Free Online Stamp Classes!  One of the classes this month features the FABULOUS summertime nautical suite – Come Sail Away!  From the second I first saw the stamps I KNEW that I wanted to do a card that used the stamps in the suite with two of last year’s favorites – Sea of Texture and Magical Mermaid.

The Come Sail Away Suite features much more traditionally masculine colors – so I wanted to do these in something lighter and brighter – you know a ‘little mermaid’

You are looking at pictures of two cards here – the one I made during filming and the one before.  They are done on a lot of scrap bits – so shimmery white and vanilla – not all matching.  The coloring is done mainly with Blends.

You may have seen the Mermaid card I did last summer, but this girl is colored differently as she used the new In Colors of Blends.

The Come Sail Away Suite is a supersized Online Class.  You will receive supplies for 4 projects with your class and a bonus 2 project videos for cards using the supplies in your suite!

Now – it’s time to get creative!  Do you scrapbook?  Need some decor’ for a pirate loving boy or a mermaid loving girl?  Need a large framed work of art for your summer cottage?  A super special card for someone about to retire?  Think of all the fun ways you could combine these sets together in the future!  The dies mix nicely with all three sets.  You will find yourself turning to them again and again.  There are several other sets in the catalog that will also combine with them (the fishing, the lakefront, etc).

You will want to make sure to reinforce your card front.  I show you how to do that in the tutorial.  There is a lot ‘hanging’ on the frame – you want it to stay!

The best part is – when you do my online class – you will already have ideas for SIX projects (and the supplies to make 4 along with me on the videos) – so your summer stamping can be light and breezy and so much fun!
