Now – today’s fun fall tutorial!

Yesterday I used Fireside Trimmings – and today we are ‘fireside’ again – but this time we lose the fireplace!

Here you go!

I love the way I was able to pull in a hugely popular Fall set from 2 years ago (that many of you probably already have!) to add the perfect sentiment to this one!

I was also tempted to add some puff paint to my marshmallow and ‘burn’ it…because you know…..it would be the exact way it will happen for a lot of us in just a few weeks.  Covid may take some of our Autumn favorites, but our backyard fire pits and weenie roasts….those are ours!

The Fireside Trimmings bundle can appear a bit overwhelming at first, but taking the pieces and just using them on their own – it becomes less so.  In the video you see that this is also a card that used mostly scraps on my desk.

The black glitter stars are such a fun embellishment even though they are designed as a mantle banner, they work well here as a night sky.  My vase branch was chopped (just as we would in real life!) to be a roasting stick.

In the upcoming Fireside Trimmings class we will do 4 cards – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.  2 will be simple like this and 2 will be more time consuming (not hard!) like the one I did yesterday.  Then, in the future, you can mix and match the seasons to use them however you want for any of the occasions!
